Weddings and Events company now based at Bushey Country Club

A wedding and events management company has taken up occupation of the former Bushey Country Club site as ‘meanwhile users’, following legal agreement.

SMM (UK) Ltd will occupy the site, which the council owns, whilst the longer term future of the asset is considered.

Lighting up Christmas in Potters Bar!

Potters Bar lesuire centre recieves investment

A leisure centre in Potters Bar is recieving major investment and will benefit from a major refurbishment as a result. Work has already begun on Furzefield Leisure Centre's upgrade, which will see improvements made to the studios, spa and gym. A mezzanine floor is going to be installed.

Positive Change at Organ Hall

Organ Hall is a housing estate in Borehamwood with a thriving community. Councillor Susan Brown had been trying to assist residents in improving the estate as it had become overgrown with fawner and seemed un-loved in places.

Help save our 292 bus service in Borehamwood.....

The Borehamwood Times recently published a story about the proposed cuts to the Borehamwood section of the 292 bus route by Transport for London (TFL). The Conservative leader, Cllr. Morris Bright, has come under some fire over TFL plans despite the fact that the service is not under Hertsmere Borough Council’s control.

Success of Hertsmere Mencap Golf Day

On the 27 th September Hertsmere Mencap hosted their annual golf day to raise funds for the charity locally. Conservative Councillor and Leader of Hertsmere Borough Council Morris Bright MBE was invited to host the charity auction held at the Hartsbourne Golf Country Club.
