About Us

Located in the South of Hertfordshire and based in Borehamwood, Hertsmere Borough Council represents the Hertsmere non-metropolitan district of England. The Council is made up of fifteen electoral wards, represented by 39 elected members, 35 of which are Conservative.

These wards are: Aldenham East; Aldenham West; Borehamwood Brookmeadow; Borehamwood Cowley Hill; Borehamwood Hillside; Borehamwood Kenilworth; Bushey Heath; Bushey North; Bushey Park; Bushey St James; Elstree; Potters Bar Furzefield; Potters Bar Oakmere; Potters Bar Parkfield; and Shenley.

Since 1999, Hertsmere Conservatives have been delivering residents value for money whilst still delivering top quality services in South Hertfordshire. The Leader of Hertsmere Borough Council and Hertsmere Conservative Group is Councillor Morris Bright MBE. He is responsible for: overall strategy and coordination; interface with external agencies; and chairing meetings of the Executive.

As part of the 2020 vision for Hertsmere Borough Council, we have promised to be an enterprising council, to plan for the future and support our communities.
