Councillors have been delighted by the attendance to exhibitions across Hertsmere to discuss the Local Plan, with nearly 900 people attending the three events held so far.

The Sixty Plus Club in Potters Bar and South Mimms supports the over 60s. It is open every weekday and provides a two course lunch (at cost price) as well as entertainment and is a great way for older local residents to meet other people.

Local Democracy Week takes place every year and aims to raise awareness about local authorities. It encourages residents to take part in local democracy and as part of it events are held throughout the week to celebrate and inform residents about the work that local authorities do.

Weddings and Events company now based at Bushey Country Club

A wedding and events management company has taken up occupation of the former Bushey Country Club site as ‘meanwhile users’, following legal agreement.

SMM (UK) Ltd will occupy the site, which the council owns, whilst the longer term future of the asset is considered.

Lighting up Christmas in Potters Bar!

Your local Conservative Borough and County councillors came together with the local community and formed a committee to raise funds for Christmas lights on both Darkes Lane and the High Street.
