Pledge to fight descrimination

Oliver Dowden CBE, Member of Parliament for Hertsmere, and Morris Bright MBE, Leader of Hertsmere Council, have made a pledge to fight hatred, religious intolerance and discrimination in their roles as the Borough’s elected representatives.

Nearly 900 people attend Local Plan exhibitions

Councillors have been delighted by the attendance to exhibitions across Hertsmere to discuss the Local Plan, with nearly 900 people attending the three events held so far.

Succesfully supporting the over 60's in Potters Bar

The Sixty Plus Club in Potters Bar and South Mimms supports the over 60s. It is open every weekday and provides a two course lunch (at cost price) as well as entertainment and is a great way for older local residents to meet other people.

Golf Programme pays off for Dame Alice Owen School

Dame Alice Owen School has a growing Golf team and trophy case due to the success in the last few years of its golf programme; thanks, in part, to the help of its local Councillor and Potters Bar Golf Club.

Local Democracy Week

Local Democracy Week takes place every year and aims to raise awareness about local authorities. It encourages residents to take part in local democracy and as part of it events are held throughout the week to celebrate and inform residents about the work that local authorities do.
